Life and Wellness Coaching with a difference

Life and wellness coaching is becoming more popular than ever, with more and more clinicians offering their services in this expanding field.  It can be hard to decide among the options. Learning a little bit about the coach's approach is helpful in making the best personal choice, as everyone tackles this a bit differently.   

My approach to wellness is behaviour-analytic in nature. I like to refer to it as The Behaviour Way. This may differ from other approaches you've tried in the past, as it focuses on targeting specific behaviours for change, and uses practical observable methods to measure your progress. Meaning, very little is left to chance or speculation. This type of approach has been successfully used to help people make positive changes in their relationships, time management, work-life balance, stress reduction, weight reduction, and health.

Together we look to understanding your current situation because learning how the behaviour impacts your everyday life is often the key in developing new habits that make a lasting difference. I take the guess work out of your behaviour, allowing you to stop wasting your time utilizing ineffective techniques. We all have hopes and dreams for our lives, attaining those goals requires a well thought out plan.

After an initial meeting to discuss your goals for wellness, evidence based interventions are developed to target your individual needs. Basically, this means the approaches I use to help you lose weight, eat better, or make positive changes in your personal life have been backed by research for their usefulness, quality, and effectiveness. This might involve home or community sessions in addition to scheduled office visits.  Working together as a team, we will strive to make your dreams become a reality.
